This is a part-time, unpaid internship at Patriot Threads, a patriotic apparel company located remotely within Texas, with a preference for North Texas or the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This internship offers a unique opportunity for an individual to gain hands-on experience by directly supervising real business activities. The role combines marketing oversight, business development, and operational support, all critical for contributing to the growth of this developing apparel brand alongside its owner.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Marketing Supervision: Supervise marketing materials by reviewing social media posts, captions, graphics, and advertisements for accuracy, grammar, professionalism, and brand consistency, ensuring timely execution of assignments.
• Business Development: Drive business development by researching, identifying, and initiating professional outreach to local businesses, retailers, organizations, and events throughout Texas for potential partnerships or wholesale opportunities.
• Advertising Management: Manage advertising campaigns by assisting in the creation, launch, and ongoing monitoring of paid campaigns, tracking performance metrics, and recommending data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
• Financial Support: Provide financial support by preparing basic weekly and monthly budgets, maintaining spreadsheets for expense tracking, and analyzing financial information to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Business Operations: Support general business operations by helping to organize company records, maintain contact lists, track project progress, and prioritize future business initiatives in direct communication with the owner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level candidates, including students or recent graduates, pursuing studies in marketing, business, finance, accounting, management, communications, entrepreneurship, or a closely related field.
• Experience: A foundational understanding of marketing, advertising, social media, business development, budgeting, or financial concepts is essential for this role.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication; exhibits good judgment, professionalism, and keen attention to detail; comfortable with spreadsheets, percentages, and financial estimates; proficient in Google Sheets, Google Docs, email, and online communication tools; capable of working independently while providing clear updates; highly organized and dependable with deadlines; committed to maintaining confidentiality.
• Bonus: Previous experience in a supervisory capacity, marketing, advertising, sales, outreach, budgeting, social media management, finance, or business development would be advantageous. Applicants residing in North Texas or the Dallas–Fort Worth area are preferred.
