The Tone:
This is an internship at Tack Room Capital, an advisory firm focused on M&A, corporate and business strategy, and fundraising. The company partners with ambitious technology companies and founder-led businesses across the CEE region, prioritizing quality engagements that directly shape client futures. This role is crucial for a future star in advisory, as the intern will be an important, active member of a lean, senior team from day one, gaining direct exposure to real transactions and seeing their tangible impact.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Materials: Prepare essential transaction documents, including teasers, information memoranda, and investor presentations for top-tier investors and CEOs.
• Financial Analysis: Co-build financial models and support valuation efforts using DCF and trading/transaction comparables.
• Market Research: Deliver thorough market and competitive analyses that form the foundation of strategy work.
• Engagement Support: Contribute research and analytics to corporate strategy and fundraising engagements.
• Deal Process Assistance: Provide support across various deal phases, from due diligence and data gathering to preparing negotiation materials.
• Firm Building: Contribute to internal projects such as improving operations and refining marketing efforts to help the firm grow.

The Must-Haves
• Background: University student or recent graduate in Economics, Finance, or a technical field.
• Skills: A strong understanding of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, along with the fundamentals of valuation. Proficiency in working with data and building clear, well-structured presentations using Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrated analytical horsepower, capable of dissecting complex data, identifying relationships between numbers, and translating them into actionable insights. A high degree of drive and ownership, proactively thinking ahead and taking responsibility for work, seeing tasks through to completion. Non-negotiable attention to detail is essential for the firm’s work quality. Full professional proficiency in English, Czech, and Slovak, both written and spoken, is required.
