What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Collect, verify, document, and process information necessary to maintain and update databases and assumptions used in modeling and decision making.
• Analytical Support: Perform routine technical calculations and studies, preparing graphs, tables, spreadsheets, and other analysis material for department personnel.
• Strategic Recommendations: Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
• Financial Reporting: Direct the preparation of studies, reports, and analyses covering budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, and cash flow projections.
• Policy Interpretation: Provide interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, and customer financial regulations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in business, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Zero to one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to the discipline.
• Skills: Knowledge of utility accounting, finance, and economic principles; ability to handle complex assignments and exercise judgment; strong mathematical skills including probability, statistics, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions; and proficiency with Accounting and MS Access Database software.
