Private Equity / Investment Banking Intern-Analyst for Corporate Development / Mentorship Program | El Toro Capital Management LLC

The Tone:
This is an unpaid, virtual, remote internship at El Toro Capital Management (ETC), an inaugural $250MM Private Equity Fund based in Los Angeles, CA. ETC is a spinout of New Century Capital Partners (NCCP), a premier investment bank recognized for its influence in Los Angeles finance. This intensive, 6-month program offers a unique opportunity to develop analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills while taking on meaningful responsibility in real-world corporate development assignments. Intern-Analysts will gain direct exposure to company management teams and receive direct mentorship, preparing them for careers at prestigious investment banks and private equity firms.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and industry analysis specifically for Private Equity initiatives.
• Company Outreach: Engage directly with management teams of emerging Technology and Services companies through proactive calling, emailing, and marketing efforts.
• Database Management: Create and meticulously manage comprehensive company and industry databases to support corporate development.
• Presentation Development: Develop professional corporate presentations and detailed industry analyses for various stakeholders.
• Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis of Technology, Business Services, and Home Services companies, including Digital Media, Cybersecurity, and Software sectors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. All candidates must be domiciled in the United States during the Internship.
• Experience: Capacity to commit to an unpaid, 6-month full-time internship, available to work from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm PT every day, including daily Zoom video calls from 7:00 am to 10:00 am PT Monday through Friday.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, proficiency in Internet research, highly motivated, pro-active self-starter with self-discipline, and a very strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
• Bonus: Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting.
