Equity Assistant Trader & Operations Administrator | Pivotal Solutions

The Tone:

• Mission: Manage trade execution, performance measurement, database management, and portfolio attribution analysis for the Equity team, collaborating with relevant parties and providing administrative support.
• Tech Stack: MS Office, Advanced Excel, Bloomberg, AIM, VBA, SQL, BQant

What You’ll Actually Do
• Trade Management: Oversee the processing and settlement of trades according to operations guidelines and standards, assessing market practices for improvements.
• Performance & Allocation: Conduct fund performance measurement and allocation, monitoring portfolio cash positions and maintaining performance and ratings data.
• Trade Execution: Execute equity trades within established guidelines, ensuring quality of execution in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Operational Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with operations, back-office, and IT teams to ensure trade accuracy, compliance, and to develop automation projects.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to equity research analysts and operations analysts, ensuring accurate trading activity, analysis, and fulfilling reporting requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, a related field or equivalent work experience; a solid understanding of equity and financial markets is required.
• Experience: At least 3-4 years of experience in financial services, including at least 1-2 years within a trading environment; prior experience in equities, market analysis, equity trading, fund management or portfolio administration.
• Skills: Strong command of MS Office software and advanced Excel; proficiency with Bloomberg and related automated research tools; ability to prioritize work with strong risk management and compliance awareness; extremely detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: Prior experience in the oversight of databases; familiarity with AIM; VBA skills; experience with SQL, BQant.
