• Mission: Manage and support key phases of mergers, acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and divestitures to determine financial, operational, and strategic viability for IDEX.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Forecast: Develop and maintain comprehensive preliminary financial forecasts for transaction targets, ensuring accuracy and relevance throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Valuation: Complete detailed discounted cash flow (DCF) and valuation analyses, including robust sensitivity analysis, while actively identifying comparable companies to support strategic decisions.
• Diligence: Conduct deep dives into data rooms, meticulously creating diligence workbooks that capture key learnings across various functional areas, and perform extensive internet research on market segments, competitors, and micro/macro developments related to potential targets.
• Execution: Drive and manage functional diligence calls, oversee data room engagement, and take the lead on deal execution for smaller buy-side and sell-side transactions.
• Strategy & Outreach: Prepare essential M&A funnel documents, proactively build and maintain relationships with potential acquisition targets, and manage the IDEX transaction M&A database to support strategic growth.
• Collaboration: Collaborate and problem-solve effectively with business unit leaders, corporate functional teams, and senior IDEX leaders to achieve transaction objectives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or Finance, or a J.D., for a Sr. Manager-level position.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience, including effective review of SEC filings and equity research.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills including presentation capabilities, critical thinking, analytical and detailed orientation, and project management skills.
• Bonus: Investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or industrial background.
