The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Regent, located in Beverly Hills, CA. Regent is a global private equity firm focused on acquiring businesses and realizing exponential growth through operational improvements and strategic capital deployment. Their investments span various industry verticals including retail, eCommerce, media, and manufacturing. This Senior Associate role is critical for evaluating new investment opportunities, managing portfolio companies, and contributing to the firm’s M&A process from due diligence to post-acquisition financial management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Evaluation: Evaluate new investment opportunities for their risks and possible returns, driven by detailed financial analysis.
• Due Diligence: Actively participate in and drive the due diligence process when evaluating new investments.
• Financial Modeling: Create, build, and analyze financial models for potential acquisitions.
• M&A Process: Participate in the full length of the M&A process, including assisting in the negotiation of deal terms.
• Portfolio Management: Provide financial oversight to new acquisitions throughout their transition and integration, including financial management of businesses once bought.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, mathematics, finance, or economics.
• Experience: 4+ years of related work experience in financial services, consulting (restructuring), M&A investment banking, or private equity.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, including knowledge of valuation methodologies; expert financial modeling, attention to detail, and in-depth experience forecasting Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and Profit and Loss Statements with interlinking; full understanding of financial statements; strong verbal and written communication skills; effective management and prioritization of multiple projects; ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Bonus: MBA preferred; flexibility to travel on a regular basis with short notice.
