• Mission: This person develops knowledge of Caterpillar’s financial practices while delivering essential financial management and analysis to various business partners.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Assignments: Perform entry-level finance assignments and develop knowledge of Caterpillar’s procedures, philosophy, and financial practices.
• Services: Deliver a wide range of financial management directions and services to various business partners, including suppliers, subsidiaries, and dealers.
• Risk Management: Manage multi-currency cash flows, and foreign exchange/commodity risk for the organization.
• Investment Strategy: Execute an investment strategy for the multi-billion-dollar retirement fund.
• Financial Improvement: Analyze the financial strength of suppliers and collaborate with worldwide dealers to improve their financial results.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a 4-year accredited university/college in Finance, Economics, or another Business or Technology major with a minimum of 18 hours of Finance courses. Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Finance GPA & Cumulative GPA) is required.
• Experience: Candidates must complete their degree before the hire date. A desired qualification for this position is 12 months or less of professional experience in this field (excluding internships).
• Skills: Knowledge of financial markets, tools and approaches of financial analysis, planning and organizing tasks and resources, communicating complex technical concepts in simple language, and problem-solving approaches for organizational issues.
