This Business Development Intern role is crucial as it directly contributes to expanding CLTI’s reach and impact by identifying and connecting with potential nonprofit partners and donor organizations, thereby opening doors to AI-powered career tools for more communities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Research and identify potential partner organizations and donor organizations that align with CLTI’s mission, focusing on expanding access for underserved communities.
• Outreach: Execute structured outreach campaigns, developing compelling communication strategies to initiate contact and cultivate an active pipeline of prospective partners and donors.
• Tracking: Rigorously track and document all outreach activity and pipeline progress, ensuring data accuracy to inform strategic decisions.
• Communication: Communicate professionally and engagingly with external stakeholders through various channels, managing follow-up conversations to nurture relationships.
• Meetings: Support the coordination of meeting schedules and progressively participate in important partner and donor meetings, gaining exposure to relationship management.

• Background: Student, recent graduate, or early-career professional who is passionate about CLTI’s mission and deeply committed to fostering social impact.
• Experience: No specific prior experience is required, making this an accessible opportunity for aspiring professionals.
• Skills: Possess strong written communication skills, capable of crafting clear, professional, and engaging messages with personality for external stakeholders; demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, consistently keeping records accurate and up to date without prompting; exhibit self-motivation and a proactive approach, taking initiative to go beyond explicit requests; comfortable conducting thorough research and executing high-volume cold outreach campaigns effectively; communicates openly and transparently, raising concerns or updates rather than remaining silent.
• Bonus: Previous experience in fields such as sales, fundraising, business development, or general nonprofit work is considered a valuable advantage for this role.
