Atrium Concert Internship | Kilroy’s Sports Bar
The Tone:
This is an internship at Kilroy’s Sports Bar, located in Bloomington, IN. The Atrium, a concert venue within Kilroy’s, quickly grew since its 2017 start to become Bloomington’s premier music destination, bringing in notable artists. Due to this rapid growth, the company is seeking interns to support its operations and continue its success. This role is crucial for maintaining and expanding the venue’s impact on the local music and arts scene, specifically by creating experiences that appeal to college students.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Sound Engineering: Operate all sound equipment and learn how to run a live show firsthand from preferred partners.
• Lighting Engineering or Design: Learn and operate two separate lighting rigs using Grand MA2 software, mastering tempo control and lighting progressions for live shows.
• Photography: Capture the “experience” of concerts and events through photos in challenging lighting and crowd movement, with approved content featured on social channels.
• Videography: Shoot various perspectives of concerts and events, including backstage and crowd, to create short clips encapsulating the night’s experience for digital platforms.
• Marketing Operations: Plan, execute, and measure the success of social media, print, and experiential marketing strategies.
• Digital Marketing: Manage and optimize various digital platforms, including social media, Eventbrite, Shopify, website, and SEO.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student interested in gaining practical experience in live event production, visual content creation, or marketing within a concert venue setting.
• Experience: Must be 18 years of age; available for the fall 2020 semester.
• Skills: A strong desire to learn and develop specialized skills in one of six cognates (sound engineering, lighting, photography, videography, marketing operations, or digital marketing); Commitment to promoting inclusivity and maintaining diversity within the community.
