Intern- D.C. United Videographer Internship (Fall 2026) | D.C. United

The Tone:
This is an internship at D.C. United, a professional Major League Soccer (MLS) club, located in Washington, D.C. with a hybrid schedule. The club is committed to uplifting its community, staff, and organization, striving for continued organizational growth and another MLS Cup. This role supports the Creative and Content team in capturing, editing, and producing engaging video content that tells the story of the club, players, and fans. The internship provides hands-on experience in professional sports content creation, offering participation in an intern cohort for interdepartmental projects and real-life videography experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Creation: Film, edit, and format video content for social media platforms (X, Instagram, YouTube), the stadium video board, and broadcast partners.
• Rapid Editing: Quickly edit highlights, hype videos, and behind-the-scenes footage for daily distribution.
• Production Support: Assist with pre-game and in-game video shoots, including the setup and breakdown of equipment, and take on various production roles.
• Media Management: Capture, log, organize, and maintain video footage and media elements.
• Creative Collaboration: Work with the video team, producers, and other departments to bring creative concepts to life.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An active undergraduate or graduate student eligible to receive college credit for this unpaid internship, pursuing careers in videography, sports media, digital content, or creative production. Possesses coursework in videography, film production, media, or a related field.
• Experience: Willingness to work matchdays, weekends, and/or evenings, dedicating up to 25 hours per week from August – November 2026. Prior experience in sports or related fields is a plus.
• Skills: Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and other Creative Cloud applications. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail, and clear, professional communication.
• Bonus: Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
