Intern- Guest Experience Fall 2026 | D.C. United
The Tone:
This is an internship at D.C. United, located in Washington, DC. D.C. United is a professional soccer club that operates Audi Field, a venue for D.C. United, Washington Spirit, DC Power FC, UFL games, and other special events. This role is crucial for supporting the planning and execution of all Audi Field events to ensure an exceptional experience for every guest. Interns will contribute to a world-class fan environment and the club’s organizational growth.

• Mission: To plan and execute Audi Field events to deliver a best-in-class experience for every guest.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Operations: Execute comprehensive event operations, assisting with staff check-in, pre-event setup, concourse presence, and post-event breakdown.
• Guest Service Delivery: Deliver exceptional guest experiences by actively greeting fans, providing assistance, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere across all guest-facing areas.
• Staff Management Support: Coordinate staffing logistics and manage over 100 part-time ambassadors, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and incentive programs.
• Operational Readiness: Develop and update essential matchday guides and departmental resources to ensure operational preparedness.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments, including Operations, Facility Services, Ticketing, Sales, and Partnerships, and assist with data collection for continuous improvement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate or graduate student eligible to receive college credit for the internship.
• Experience: Ability to work event/match days and eligible to attend full-stadium events and most corporate/entertainment events.
• Skills: Coachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, positive attitude, ability to effectively interact with staff and clients, detailed oriented, knowledge of basic computer programs.
• Bonus: Experience in sports or events.
