Supply Chain Intern | Intellectt Inc

The Tone:
This is a contract-based internship at Intellectt Inc, located in Sumter, SC. This role offers a significant developmental opportunity for a driven and meticulous student to gain practical experience within a client’s Supply Chain organization. Reporting to the Procurement / Supply Chain leadership team, the intern will support daily purchasing operations and data analysis, directly contributing to improved procurement visibility, operational efficiency, and data accuracy. The role focuses on hands-on involvement in key supply chain processes.

• Mission: To improve procurement visibility, operational efficiency, and data accuracy through structured reporting, follow-ups, and process improvement initiatives.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, SAP (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Support the purchase order (PO) management lifecycle, including tracking open orders, confirming details, and updating delivery statuses.
• Ensure: Proactively follow up with suppliers on past-due orders and critical material shortages to maintain continuity of supply.
• Analyze: Assist in preparing comprehensive weekly and monthly procurement reports, covering On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance, lead time tracking, and risk analysis.
• Enhance: Contribute to process improvement initiatives by converting manual processes into digital tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint) and documenting basic procurement procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and Finance teams to effectively resolve supply and invoice-related issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. This is a student-level role.
• Experience: No prior experience is required; however, prior internship or project experience in supply chain or data analysis is considered a plus.
• Skills: Basic understanding of supply chain and procurement concepts; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis and formulas preferred); good written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Bonus: Basic knowledge of ERP systems, with a preference for SAP.
