Junior Business Development | Drive IT

The Tone:
This is an entry-level role with NM Group, a new client of Drive IT, focused on rapidly expanding marketing teams within a vibrant new city. The company is actively building 2–3 new teams centered around top performers and places a significant emphasis on internal training and professional advancement. This position offers a unique and accelerated career path, with an ambitious goal to develop select candidates from an assistant role into a managing director position within approximately 12 months. This quick progression is essential to meet the demanding pace expected by clients and reflects the company’s commitment to overcoming challenges. The role is fundamental for establishing a strong operational foundation in the new market and directly executing marketing initiatives on behalf of the clients.

• Team: Individual contributor reporting to team leads and account managers within client-focused marketing teams.
• Mission: Execute client marketing presentations, manage site relationships, conduct market research, and identify new revenue opportunities to support rapid company growth and team expansion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Marketing Presentation Execution: Set up and execute engaging marketing presentations directly on behalf of our clients to diverse audiences, effectively representing their causes.
• Performance Analysis & Reporting: Provide daily performance feedback to team leads and prepare comprehensive weekly reports for account managers, detailing key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress.
• Relationship Management & Expansion: Build and actively manage relationships with various site partners, ensuring smooth operations for marketing events and exploring new opportunities.
• Professional Development & Networking: Travel to attend and participate in networking events approximately once every 2–3 months, and conduct monthly team presentations to track and communicate progress.
• Strategic Market Contribution: Stay current with all client initiatives, prepare thorough market research prior to new events, and proactively suggest new revenue opportunities to foster growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing.
• Experience: Candidates should possess a competitive mindset, with a preference for those with an athletic background who demonstrate discipline, resilience, and teamwork.
• Skills: Strong integrity, excellent communication skills comfortable with diverse demographics, a keen ability to thrive in challenging environments, and excitement to take on leadership responsibilities.
• Bonus: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred, an affinity for Yankees fans is noted, and local residency or the ability to relocate within 2-3 weeks for immediate in-person interviews is prioritized.
