Junior Business Development | Drive IT

The Tone:
This is an entry-level role with Drive IT, located in New York City. The company is actively building 2–3 marketing teams for a newly acquired client, with a strong emphasis on rapid internal career growth. This position is vital for establishing Drive IT’s presence in the city and is designed to train select candidates from an assistant role into a managing director position within 12 months. The role is for someone ready to meet high client expectations and contribute significantly to building a strong organizational foundation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Presentations: Set up and execute marketing presentations on behalf of our clients, ensuring effective representation.
• Performance Reporting: Provide daily performance feedback to team leads and submit comprehensive weekly reports to account managers detailing key performance indicators.
• Relationship Management: Build and manage strong relationships with various sites for event execution, maintaining positive client and partner interactions.
• Event Participation: Travel to attend networking events once every 2–3 months, expanding professional connections and client reach.
• Business Growth: Prepare thorough market research prior to new events and proactively suggest new revenue opportunities to clients and management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This early career position requires candidates to hold a Bachelor’s degree in marketing. The ideal candidate possesses a foundational understanding of marketing principles and is eager to apply them in a hands-on environment.
• Experience: No specific prior work experience is required for this entry-level opportunity. We are particularly interested in candidates with an athletic background or a naturally competitive mindset, as these qualities demonstrate discipline, resilience, and a team-oriented approach.
• Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse demographics. Candidates must be effective team players with a competitive edge, demonstrate integrity, and be excited to embrace leadership responsibilities in a challenging environment.
• Bonus: Preference will be given to candidates who hold an MBA. Individuals who are currently local to New York City or are able to relocate within 2–3 weeks for in-person interviews will be prioritized. A preference for Yankees fans is also noted.
