Warehouse Driver Check In – Days | Performance Food Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at Performance Food Group. Performance Food Group supports America’s food distribution system and serves the convenience retail industry. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of daily delivery operations, ensuring drivers are properly checked-in and returned products are managed effectively. It plays a critical part in supporting the company’s commitment to delivering goods reliably and maintaining strong customer relationships.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Driver Check-In & Financials: Oversee the check-in process for returning delivery drivers, reconciling receipts, verifying cash and checks, and securely placing funds in the safe.
• Inventory Processing: Examine, verify, and accurately re-enter all returned and damaged items into the appropriate inventory categories.
• Record Management: File Department of Transportation (DOT) logs and company vehicle maintenance reports.
• Operational Communication: Communicate proactively with drivers, department managers, and inventory personnel regarding delivery challenges and quality concerns.
• Facility Security: Close, alarm, and secure the two buildings every Friday evening.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, with 6+ months experience in a warehouse environment, including driver check-in or dock operations.
• Experience: 6+ months of immediate computer skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), RF scanning experience, and ability to operate a forklift and pallet end rider (walkie).
• Skills: Strong administrative support capabilities, including basic math and computer data entry.
