The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Carroll Community College Foundation, located in Westminster, MD. The Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting the college’s mission and strategic initiatives. This President’s Intern position is vital in actively communicating the college president’s goals, engaging with the community, and promoting key initiatives across various platforms through content creation and digital outreach.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Engagement: Participate in college and community events as directed to support presidential initiatives.
• Content Creation: Develop strategic content to promote the president’s initiatives and engage various audiences.
• Digital Presence: Manage the president’s social media presence on digital platforms.
• Reporting & Documentation: Compile reports and maintain necessary documentation for initiatives and activities.
• Communication Planning: Actively participate in the planning stages for strategic communication efforts.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is specifically for a current student, requiring a HS Diploma/GED or active dual enrollment. Applicants must be current Carroll Community College students.
• Experience: Candidates should demonstrate effective computer skills, particularly with MS Office applications. Knowledge of and the ability to create content on and manage the College’s social media platforms are essential.
• Skills: Essential communication skills are required to interact respectfully with a diverse student body, faculty, staff, and community members. Active listening skills are necessary to understand and clearly articulate discussions, alongside the ability to follow specific directions and receive constructive feedback. The capacity to maintain professionalism and confidentiality is also critical.
