Entry-level Project Manager | DH Pace Company, Inc.

This is a full-time, on-site role at DH Pace Company, Inc., located at their corporate headquarters in Olathe, KS. DH Pace Company is a family-owned, privately held industry leader with over $1 billion in annual sales, specializing in the distribution, installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking, and security products. This role is crucial for ensuring construction project objectives are met on time and within budget by effectively partnering with general contractors and managing all aspects from submittals to specifications. The successful candidate will contribute to the company’s continued growth as it approaches its 100th anniversary in business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Planning: Review construction project plans and specifications to determine materials needed, order them, operate within customer specified budget parameters, and coordinate schedules and installs with outside vendors.
• Project Execution: Direct and coordinate activities to ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within the budgeted scope, reviewing status reports and providing necessary updates to staff and clients.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers, effectively communicating technical findings to ensure clear understanding.
• Problem Solving: Master project coordinating and problem solving by using good judgment and forecasting, while following administrative procedures to manage projects on time and under budget.
• Quality & Monitoring: Monitor and review all projects to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met, tracking submittals and job materials.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Construction Management Degree.
• Experience: Two (2) years’ experience as a Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager/Engineer for a construction/service company, sub-contractor, or property management firm preferred; high attention to detail and ability to thrive in a deadline-focused environment.
• Skills: Strong mathematical ability, proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook, excellent communication, customer relations, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Mechanically minded or inclined.
