Data Science Project Intern (TikTok Shop-Supply Chain & Logistics) – 2026 Start (BS/MS) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, located in Los Angeles, CA. TikTok is a global tech company building the leading destination for short-form mobile video and aiming to be the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and affiliates. This role is crucial for enhancing efficiency and improving the overall user and seller experience within global logistics operations through data-driven insights and analytical solutions.

The TL;DR

• Team: Logistics Data Science team, part of the Global Logistics team
• Mission: Contribute to data analysis initiatives and help strengthen data capabilities across global logistics operations.
• Tech Stack: SQL, Python, R

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Operations: Collect, sort, and process daily data to support business communications and assist in monitoring weekly operations.
• Data Products: Participate in designing and processing logistics operation indicators to improve the data indicator system and assist in building analysis dashboards.
• Special Analysis: Take part in writing regular and special data analysis reports to conduct in-depth analysis of data changes.
• Temporary Support: Respond to temporary data needs by providing targeted analysis content and assisting in solving sudden business data problems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience: Proven experience in data analysis, preferably demonstrated through course projects, research initiatives, or prior internship experiences.
• Skills: Knowledge of SQL.
• Bonus: Understanding of Python or R; internship or project experience in supply chain, logistics, or consulting industry-related analysis; participation in data analysis-related research projects or competitions; understanding of e-commerce or online marketplaces; proven communication skills and teamwork spirit.
