Animation Production Intern, Fall 2026 | DreamWorks Animation

The Tone:
This is an internship at DreamWorks Animation, located in Glendale, CA. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (24 hours per week)
• Location: In-person, Glendale, CA
• Pay: $17.87 hourly
• Team: Assigned to either a feature film or TV production, reporting to a Production Manager.
• Mission: Support production activities to gain detailed knowledge of the animation industry, pipelines, and workflows within animated television or feature film contexts.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Word, Gmail, FlowPro (formerly Shotgrid)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Production Insight: Gain insight into production responsibilities, workflows, and processes while assigned to a feature film or TV production.
• Pipeline Observation: Observe and learn about the animation pipeline and creative process.
• Activity Support: Handle various production activities under the direction of a Production Manager.
• Knowledge Development: Take on new challenges to gain detailed knowledge of the animation industry, animated television, or feature pipelines and workflows.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or a recent graduate within six months of graduation date, and 18 years of age or older.
• Experience: Knowledge of office management software (Excel, Word, Gmail, etc.) is vital, with proven organizational skills and a proactive approach in production environments.
• Skills: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; self-motivated; an outstanding teammate who takes initiative; ability to prioritize multiple requests; strong attention to detail; comfortable interacting with employees at all levels.
• Bonus: Film/TV, Animation/Illustration, Media Studies, or related majors are preferred; proven understanding of FlowPro (formerly Shotgrid) is a plus.
