The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Fellowship of Christian Athletes, with experiences varying by location. FCA is an organization dedicated to impacting the world for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. This internship is designed to develop collegiate student athletes, helping them discern their calling and career paths while introducing them to various aspects of ministry within the FCA framework. The role plays a vital part in the ministry by equipping future leaders through practical experience and spiritual formation, all carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop Understanding: Engage in training and experiences designed to deepen your understanding of your personal calling to ministry and career discernment.
• Provide Spiritual Leadership: Lead and guide staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and by living a life that exemplifies Christian principles, equipping them to serve others effectively.
• Maintain Spiritual Disciplines: Follow a consistent spiritual rhythm that includes daily prayer and Bible study, actively seeking the Lord’s will for FCA and your personal walk.
• Uphold Community Standards: Agree with and abide by FCA’s Christian Community Statement, ensuring your conduct aligns with biblical standards and FCA’s Christian beliefs at all times.
• Participate in Church Life: Actively connect to and participate in a local church community through regular worship and weekly involvement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Collegiate student athlete or collegiate volunteer seeking a learning and developmental ministry experience. The internship is designed for individuals exploring a calling and career in ministry.
• Experience: A demonstrated commitment to living out Christian faith and serving God as a form of worship is essential. This role is a developmental ministry experience during a summer or a semester.
• Skills:
1. Spiritual Leadership: Capacity to lead and guide peers and mentors through prayer, Bible study, worship, and personal example.
2. Biblical Adherence: Ability to consistently agree with and abide by FCA’s Christian Community Statement and affirm biblical standards of conduct.
3. Spiritual Discipline: Practice personal spiritual rhythms including daily prayer, Bible study, and active participation in a local church.
4. Service-Oriented Heart: A willingness to carry out all responsibilities with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.
