The Tone:
This is an internship at Fellowship of Christian Athletes, with varying locations for collegiate volunteers seeking a transformative experience. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a dedicated organization focused on developing student athletes, guiding them in discerning their calling and career while introducing them to diverse aspects of ministry through FCA’s established framework. This role is integral to the FCA mission, as it provides a learning and developmental ministry experience designed to deepen the intern’s understanding of their individual calling through related training and practical engagement. Interns contribute directly to the spiritual vitality of the FCA community, embodying and sharing core Christian beliefs and practices in a worshipping context.

• Mission: To develop student athletes in discerning their calling and career while introducing them to various aspects of ministry through FCA, fostering growth in faith and leadership.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop Ministry & Calling: Engage in a comprehensive learning and developmental ministry experience within FCA, designed to introduce you to various aspects of ministry and guide you in discerning your personal calling and career path.
• Cultivate Spiritual Rhythm: Follow a consistent spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and Bible study, to actively seek the Lord’s will for FCA and your personal journey.
• Provide Spiritual Leadership: Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example, equipping them to serve others.
• Engage with Local Church: Consciously connect to and actively participate in a local church community through regular worship and consistent weekly involvement.
• Embody FCA Values: Integrate FCA’s Christian Community Statement and biblical standards of conduct into daily life, setting an example for others within the ministry context.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level collegiate volunteer; candidates must be student athletes actively seeking guidance in discerning their calling and career path within a ministry context. The internship is explicitly designed for those engaging in a learning and developmental ministry experience.
• Experience: This role does not require specific years of prior experience, but candidates should be collegiate individuals prepared for a dedicated ministry experience during a summer or a semester. While interns are volunteers and are not employees receiving hourly compensation, a nominal stipend for living related expenses may be provided.
• Skills:
