Intern, Graphic Design | Oklahoma City Thunder
The Tone:
This is an in-person internship with the Oklahoma City Thunder, located in downtown Oklahoma City at the Paycom Center. This program runs from August 24th, 2026, through December 4th, 2026. As a professional sports and entertainment organization, the Thunder values creative talent to enhance its brand and connect with its audience. This role contributes to a variety of branding, marketing, and creative projects that support departments across the organization, offering students practical experience in graphic design, sports marketing, or creative services. Interns will receive program perks such as paid downtown parking and tickets to a Thunder home game; however, please note that housing, transportation, and future full-time employment are not provided.

• Team: In-house Marketing and Graphic Design team, reporting to the Manager, Brand Design.
• Mission: Contribute to a variety of branding, marketing, and creative projects that support departments across the organization.
• Tech Stack: Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) on the Macintosh platform.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Design Assets: Create and produce a range of team-related assets for both print and digital platforms, encompassing advertisements, sales collateral, animation, posters, digital graphics, and invitations.
• Policy Assistance: Provide support in maintaining and establishing the design department’s operational policies and guidelines.
• Trend Awareness: Actively stay informed and connected with new design trends, techniques, and evolving technology to enhance creative output.
• Program Participation: Fully engage in all company-scheduled internship program activities, including professional development workshops, networking opportunities, and resume reviews.
• General Support: Perform other duties as assigned to support the broader creative and marketing initiatives of the organization.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive course credit for the internship. Candidates should possess an understanding of various printing methods and the complete process by which digital artwork is prepared for print.
• Experience: Proven ability to use Creative Suite on the Macintosh platform, with primary experience in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Skills: Demonstrates strong organizational skills, crucial for effectively working on multiple design projects concurrently. Possesses excellent communication and listening abilities, and is a hardworking individual successful at contributing within a team environment. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required for occasional local travel.
• Bonus: Students actively pursuing a degree in graphic design or fine art are preferred.
