Entry Level Environmental Scientist | ERG

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Provide direct technical assistance and expertise for ERG’s diverse portfolio of water-related projects, ensuring successful execution and client satisfaction.
• Research & Analysis: Systematically conduct thorough research, meticulous data collection, detailed analysis, and stakeholder engagement concerning critical drinking water and water quality management issues, regulations, and associated topics.
• Deliverable Preparation: Actively support the development and preparation of various project deliverables, ensuring clarity and accuracy for both highly technical and general non-technical audiences.
• Environmental Reviews: Contribute to essential environmental planning reviews for proposed infrastructure projects, specifically assisting with Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Categorical Exclusion (CATEX) reviews in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
• Regulatory Contribution: Actively contribute to initiatives focused on regulatory compliance, provide technical assistance, and support other efforts vital to client objectives within the water sector.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related discipline, suitable for an early career professional.
• Experience: 0-3 years of relevant academic or professional experience.
• Skills: Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities for complex environmental challenges; Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical information to diverse audiences; Robust time management skills, enabling the prioritization of multiple concurrent projects and consistent adherence to deadlines; Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.
• Bonus: Academic coursework or research relevant to the water sector, and a basic understanding of environmental regulations.
