• Mission: To provide project support for federal, state, and other clients on a range of technical projects, particularly focused on drinking water and water quality programs, regulations, and infrastructure.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Technical Support: Provide technical support for ERG’s water-related projects.
• Research and Analysis: Assist with research, data collection, analysis, and engagement concerning drinking water and water quality management, regulations, and related topics.
• Deliverable Preparation: Support the creation of products for both technical and non-technical audiences, along with other project deliverables.
• Environmental Planning: Support environmental planning reviews for proposed infrastructure projects, including Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Categorical Exclusion (CATEX) reviews under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
• Regulatory Compliance: Contribute to regulatory compliance efforts, technical assistance initiatives, and other related activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related discipline, suitable for a recent graduate or early career professional interested in water resources, drinking water, water quality, and environmental planning.
• Experience: 0-3 years of relevant academic or professional experience.
• Skills: Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities; excellent written and verbal communication abilities; strong time management skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines; and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Bonus: Academic coursework or research relevant to the water sector, combined with a basic understanding of environmental regulations.
