Room Attendant | Holiday Inn
The Tone:

The role of a Room Attendant is critical to the hotel’s operations, as it directly impacts guest satisfaction, property reputation, and the overall success of the business. • Team: Reports to a supervisor as part of the hotel housekeeping team.
• Mission: Ensure guests experience clean, comfortable rooms and maintain the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and service.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Ensure Guest Room Excellence: Perform thorough and high-quality cleaning of guest rooms, ensuring all brand standards are consistently met within established timelines and that all necessary items are available for guest use.
• Deliver Exceptional Guest Service: Acknowledge guests with warm greetings in public areas, promptly respond to their requests and inquiries, and professionally address any issues or complaints to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment: Adhere to established health and safety procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment, always maintain a hazard-free work area, and follow master key sign-out protocols to ensure security.
• Manage Room Status and Maintenance: Proactively inspect rooms, update the status of cleaned rooms on assignment sheets, report any discrepancies to the supervisor, and promptly identify and communicate maintenance concerns or damages.
• Uphold Hotel Operations and Policies: Assist in maintaining cleanliness in other hotel areas, report accidents immediately, restock housekeeping carts, follow lost and found procedures for guest items, and comply with timekeeping and training requirements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Others. Foundational understanding of customer service and professional cleaning standards, demonstrating attention to detail in all tasks.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, follow directions, and manage a workload efficiently within set timelines.
• Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills to manage workload effectively; ability to work cohesively as part of a team; excellent communication and customer service skills; physical mobility and stamina to perform job functions including standing, bending, reaching, pushing, kneeling, pivoting, gripping, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
• Bonus: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
