The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Sunday-Thursday 6:00pm-2:30am OR Sunday 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Thursday 9:30am-6:00pm
• Location: In-person, Aliso Viejo, CA

• Team: Logistics team
• Mission: Ensure proper handling of all specimens received and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Tech Stack: MS Office programs

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Receive specimens for laboratory testing, including proper handling and preparation.
• Quality Check: Perform quality assurance checks on both incoming and outgoing samples to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage Tracking: Utilize chain of custody logs for slides and blocks, ensuring appropriate tracking and reconciliation of all materials.
• Address Concerns: Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns, taking immediate corrective action as required by department procedures.
• Collaborate: Work effectively with other departments to resolve and troubleshoot problems related to specimen processing and handling.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or equivalent; this is an entry-level position within the Logistics job category.
• Experience: Must be flexible and available to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on staffing requirements.
• Skills: Proficiency with MS Office programs, enabling effective data entry and document management.
• Bonus: 1+ years of experience equivalent to an Accessioning Technician is preferred.
