What You’ll Actually Do
• Verbatim Reporting: Accurately record and transcribe testimony from a variety of court proceedings, including conferences, calendar calls, arraignments, and hearings.
• Clerical Support: Execute related administrative duties, such as processing essential case-related forms.
• Skill Development: Actively engage in structured on-the-job training across all facets of the court reporting profession.
• Progressive Assignments: Undertake increasingly challenging reporting tasks designed to build and refine professional skills.
• Cross-Court Engagement: Participate in temporary cross-training assignments across various courts or for administrative hearings to broaden experience and support operations during emergencies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completion of a formal court reporting program no more than two (2) years prior to the potential appointment date.
• Experience: This is an entry-level traineeship specifically designed for new professionals entering the court reporting field, requiring no prior professional court reporting experience beyond program completion.
• Skills: Foundational understanding of verbatim recording and transcription techniques, with a strong aptitude for detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
