Talent Acquisition Intern | FreshDirect
The Tone:
This is an internship at FreshDirect, located in Bronx, NY. FreshDirect is a technology-powered, customer-obsessed company that is reinventing the grocery experience by building an innovative end-to-end food supply chain. The company sources high-quality ingredients directly and uses smart data, automation, and logistics to deliver fresh food to customers. This role is crucial for supporting the Talent Acquisition team by providing hands-on experience in full-cycle recruiting, candidate coordination, employer branding, and various projects within a busy environment.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Bronx, NY
• Pay: $23–$25 hourly
• Team: Reports to Senior Talent Acquisition Manager
• Mission: This intern supports the Talent Acquisition team in coordinating recruiting efforts, managing candidate information, and assisting with initiatives to attract and integrate new talent into FreshDirect.
• Tech Stack: LinkedIn, job boards, ATS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Recruiting Support: Aid recruiters and hiring managers throughout the talent acquisition process.
• Candidate Coordination: Schedule interviews and manage communications with candidates.
• Sourcing Assistance: Help find candidates using various job boards and professional platforms like LinkedIn.
• Data Management: Maintain precise candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Project Involvement: Support Talent Acquisition projects, including cultural initiatives and employee engagement events.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong interest in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources principles.
• Skills: Excellent organizational and time management abilities; strong verbal and written communication skills; capability to manage multiple priorities.
• Bonus: Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field; familiarity with LinkedIn, job boards, or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
