Special Project Strategist Intern (TikTok Shop – Operations) | TikTok
The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, a global company with headquarters in Los Angeles and Singapore, and offices in several major cities worldwide. TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, with a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy to its more than one billion loyal users globally. This role supports the TikTok Shop US operation team, which is dedicated to building the e-commerce partnership and pioneering Content & Creator commerce in the US. The team aims to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making TikTok the leading, on-trend commerce platform of choice for brands, creators, and shoppers. The Special Project Strategist Intern will contribute to scaling the #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt phenomenon, helping to shape the future of shopping and delivering high-quality products with a unique customer experience within an innovative, secure, and intuitive e-commerce ecosystem.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Support: Support business leaders by breaking down project tasks, setting priorities, and adding value based on overall global e-commerce strategies.
• Strategy Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies, including goal and budget setting, and conducting performance reviews.
• Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to evaluate merchandise and seller growth performance, identify trends, and provide optimization recommendations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute strategic initiatives effectively.
• Process Development: Participate in the design and implementation of business operation management systems and processes to provide strong support for business strategy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer Fall 2026.
• Skills: Good logical thinking, business analysis ability, systematic thinking and critical thinking ability, strong learning ability, execution ability, and stress resistance. Additionally, strong communication and coordination, resource integration, and project management abilities are required.
• Bonus: Graduating December 2026 onwards with the intent to return to a degree program after the completion of the internship; a strong interest in e-commerce business; prior internship experience in e-commerce or a solid understanding of the industry landscape is a plus; familiarity with TikTok and other content platforms, particularly experience in content-based eCommerce (brand and/or platform-side) is highly preferred; a strong network and connections with brands and/or retailers is a plus; a passion for TikTok and eCommerce, coupled with an eagerness to exceed challenging goals while building something truly unique to the market.
