Private Equity Intern | Wall Street Oasis
The Tone:
This is a virtual internship at Wall Street Oasis, located remotely. Wall Street Oasis is the world’s largest career community for finance, serving over 1 million registered members globally. The program aims to identify and cultivate future finance leaders through structured, 10-week training and placement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Intensive Training: Participate in two weeks of rigorous in-house virtual training led by industry professionals, establishing a strong foundation in core Private Equity and growth investing skills.
• Financial Modeling Expertise: Develop proficiency in 3-Statement Financial Modeling, conduct DCF Valuation, and master Trading Comparables and Transaction Comparables to effectively assess investment opportunities.
• Deal Structuring & Analysis: Learn LBO Basics, encompassing debt structures, return metrics, and key IRR drivers, crucial for understanding private equity deal mechanics.
• Investment Research & Reporting: Execute comprehensive Market and Industry Research, coupled with proficient Investment Memo Writing, applying Excel and PowerPoint best practices for deal documentation.
• Placement & Exposure: Gain real-world exposure to buy-side deal work and investing decision-making through placement opportunities with LMM PE firms, search funds, independent sponsors, HoldCo/operator-led acquisition platforms, small growth equity firms, or family offices.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, with a strong preference for freshmen and sophomores, seeking practical experience and a significant resume boost in private equity.
• Experience: No specific years of prior professional experience are required for this 10-week structured virtual internship program.
• Skills: Demonstrated eagerness to learn and develop core private equity skills including 3-Statement Financial Modeling, DCF Valuation, Trading Comparables, Transaction Comparables, LBO Basics, Investment Memo Writing, Market / Industry Research, and best practices in Excel and PowerPoint for deal work.
• Bonus: Highly motivated individuals who are quick learners and committed to excelling within a structured, virtual environment.
