Scheduler | Ohio State University Physicians

This is a full-time role at Ohio State University Physicians, offering remote work for Ohio residents after an initial three-month onsite training period to ensure full preparedness. What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Needs Assessment: Speak with patients to assess their needs, actively listen to concerns, and make appropriate recommendations and clarifications.
• Appointment Coordination: Coordinate outpatient appointments across multiple specialties, including routine visits, urgent issues, and associated testing.
• Complex Problem Resolution: Work with callers to resolve complex problems by gaining an understanding of large-scale operational processes.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Develop expertise in understanding nuanced processes for determining appropriate appointment needs and provider preferences.
• System Utilization: Utilize software systems to facilitate efficient patient interactions and scheduling.

• Background: This is an entry-level career opportunity with a thorough training program, suitable for individuals seeking to impact patient care and grow within the organization. A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required.
• Skills: Ability to critically think through complex problems, adapt quickly to new healthcare procedures, and maintain a sympathetic and calm demeanor with callers. Must demonstrate high emotional intelligence and an understanding of social cues, acting as a proactive self-starter eager to find solutions and comfortable working in an office atmosphere.
