• Mission: Learn to provide the best patient experience through assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team, using systems to process prescriptions, and championing best practices.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care & Experience: Learn to provide the best patient experience by assisting pharmacists and pharmacy team members in accordance with state and federal regulations, and develop strong relationships with customers. This includes assisting with patient counseling and other health services like blood pressure checks and medication therapy management.
• Prescription Processing & Systems: Responsibly use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Perform duties assigned by the pharmacist for entering, third-party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions, strictly adhering to Good Faith Dispensing policies and immediately reporting errors.
• Customer Engagement & Service: Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving issues to ensure a positive customer experience. Model and share customer service best practices, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits, to deliver a distinctive and delightful experience.
• Operational Support & Inventory: Assist and support the Pharmacy Department with inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals. Maintain knowledge of asset protection techniques and file claims for overages, shortages, or damaged Rx goods.
• Department Maintenance & Sales: Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance. Also, register all related sales on the assigned cash register, handle cash as required, and assist customers in locating OTC products.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Experience: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Skills: Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English; ability to adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
