About the Role
We are seeking a Master’s Level Intern for the Fall 2026 semester to join the Behavioral Health Team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This position offers hands-on experience working with youth and families, observing various therapeutic areas, and gaining insight into the communities and clients served. Interns work closely with youth, families, foster parents, and community partners.
What You’ll Do
• Providing appropriate individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds on behalf of persons served.
• Traveling as needed, to provide community-based services to youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
• Completing all required documentation in a timely manner.
• Completing all required training in a timely manner.
• Coordinating and monitoring services for the youth and family in the community, for mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
• Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
• Assisting in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth’s primary family or other permanent living arrangements consistent with the youth’s case plan.
• Actively participates in the weekly supervision process.
You’re a Good Fit If You
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• Are enrolled in a Master of Social Work program from an accredited College or University.
• Have an internship or field placement as a requirement by your institution.
• Will receive credit towards your pursued degree upon the completion of the internship.
• Are willing to work flexible and non-traditional hours.
• Have the capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function.
• Have the capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers.
• Are proficient in the use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Have reliable personal transportation.
• Maintain a good driving record.
• Carry minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.
Bonus Qualifications
• Experience working in direct service with youth and families is strongly preferred.
