Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern – WM | Walmart

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Walmart, located in Dilworth, MN. Walmart operates a vast retail organization that includes pharmacies, serving countless customers daily. This role is essential for providing hands-on pharmacy support, ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of products and services, and upholding customer satisfaction. It offers students enrolled in pharmacy school a practical opportunity to apply their learning in a real-world retail pharmacy environment.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $21.5–$34.5 hourly
• Mission: This role ensures the confidential and compliant delivery of pharmacy products and services to customers, supporting daily operations and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Handle Prescription Processing: Assist with processing prescription and over-the-counter orders, entering necessary information, and filling prescriptions while maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide Customer Service: Acknowledge customers, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, resolve issues, and promote products and services.
• Manage Pharmacy Operations: Receive and stock merchandise and supplies, organize and maintain the pharmacy area, and properly handle claims and returns.
• Ensure Compliance and Documentation: Complete, maintain, and secure all required paperwork, forms, logs, and other documentation in accordance with legal and company guidelines.
• Operate Point of Sale: Process customer purchases using cash registers and related tools, applying appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.

• Background: Student. Enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy school.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required; the role is for students. Experience in customer service or retail is beneficial for success in this role.
