The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Eurofins PSS, located in Rensselaer, NY. Eurofins PSS provides critical analytical testing services to leading international companies in the pharma, medical device, food, cosmetic, and consumer product industries through its Professional Scientific Services® division. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cell culture and bioprocessing, directly contributing to meaningful scientific projects within a laboratory setting. The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Full-time, Monday – Friday. Primary Shift: 2nd shift (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM), with ability to work 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM shifts when needed.
• Location: Rensselaer, NY
• Pay: $21.50 – $22.50 hourly (plus 10% shift differential for 2nd shift)
• Team: Process Sciences team
• Mission: Support cell culture experiments and bioprocessing operations to contribute to scientific projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate: Work effectively both independently and with team members within a client-focused laboratory environment, supporting scientific objectives.
• Operate: Perform essential laboratory operations and support small-scale experiments, including media and buffer preparation, aliquoting, aseptic transfers, bioreactor builds, and probe calibrations, alongside general laboratory support tasks.
• Experiment: Execute cell culture experiments across various scales, ranging from shake flask operations to full bioreactor systems.
• Document: Analyze experimental samples and meticulously maintain accurate, organized records for all scientific work, ensuring data integrity.
• Improve: Actively contribute to workflow enhancements, support the development of planning and scheduling tools, or assist in the automation of lab metrics and team training programs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a closely related field, representing an early career level.
• Experience: Hands-on technical lab experience and demonstrated competence in basic lab techniques. Preferred experience includes mammalian cell culture using aseptic technique and familiarity with small-scale fed-batch bioreactors (e.g., 2L systems).
• Skills: Clear and confident communication (both written and verbal), strong attention to detail, demonstrated curiosity and adaptability, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
• Bonus: cGMP experience is a plus, along with the ability to work 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM shifts when needed.
