What You’ll Actually Do
• Chairside Support: Assist dental providers at chairside during patient appointments in a graduate specialty dental practice.
• Patient Records: Accurately review and maintain patient charts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
• Operatory Preparation: Prepare operatories, instruments, supplies, and all required paperwork efficiently before patient arrivals.
• Specialty Procedures: Perform specific functions and procedures directly related to the assigned dental specialty area.
• Clinic Operations: Maintain the clinic environment, assist with patient screening, manage inventory control, and forward supply requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or GED with foundational knowledge in dental assisting.
• Experience: A minimum of six months of hands-on dental assisting experience, or successful completion of a formal dental assisting training program and externship.
• Skills: Current CPR certification, proficient chairside dental assisting, patient education (oral hygiene, post-treatment), maintaining infection control standards, and managing dental supplies.
