The Tone:

Lumina Healthcare is dedicated to providing specialized dental and podiatry care within post-acute and long-term care settings, serving vulnerable patients in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. This vital Front Office position serves as the central point of contact, managing crucial communication and coordination between patients, family members, care providers, and other healthcare institutions. By diligently handling scheduling, insurance verification, and financial discussions, this role ensures smooth operations and contributes directly to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact for patients, managing all incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, and facilitating smooth communication among patients, families, and care providers.
• Appointment & Financial Management: Efficiently schedule and manage patient visits, provide initial insurance estimates, verify comprehensive insurance coverage, secure necessary prior authorizations for medical procedures, and clearly communicate service costs and payment options.
• Administrative & Data Integrity: Perform accurate data entry for patient information, maintain the highest level of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and meticulously scan, upload, and manage all relevant patient and administrative documents into electronic health records.
• Operational & Compliance Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinical staff, ensuring strict adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements in all administrative and patient interactions, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.
• Treatment Plan & Resource Navigation: Assist in discussing patient treatment plans by clarifying administrative aspects and scheduling follow-up care, while also offering patients and families valuable community resources and facilitating referrals for continuing care.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Core domain knowledge in healthcare administrative processes, patient communication, and front office operations.
• Experience: Familiarity with electronic patient record systems, online training platforms, and email correspondence.
• Skills:
