Summer Intern – Human Resources (Benefits Division)

Job Summary:

BRC is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our Human Resources team, specifically supporting the Benefits division. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience and learning about the intricacies of Human Resources with a focus on employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination and execution of new hire orientation processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive I9 Audits to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with document scanning and initiatives to automate and organize files.
  • Provide support in the preparation and issuance of employee ID badges.
  • Collaborate closely with benefit staff to assist in the development of benefit policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A proactive and independent self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong capability to function effectively as a team member within the benefits department and contribute as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Hours & Location:

  • Schedule: 3 days per week, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Location: In-person Internship at 131 West 25th Street, New York, NY.

This summer internship offers a flexible assignment schedule, typically beginning in June and concluding by the end of August. It presents a valuable opportunity to immerse yourself in the field of Human Resources, with a dedicated focus on understanding and supporting employee benefits programs.
