The Tone:
This is an internship at FCA. FCA is dedicated to developing student athletes by helping them discern their calling and career, while immersing them in various facets of ministry. This vital role contributes directly to FCA’s mission, offering a unique opportunity for interns to deepen their understanding of their personal calling to ministry through hands-on training and real-world experience. The position plays a critical role in furthering the spiritual growth of individuals within the FCA community, with all responsibilities carried out in service to God. Interns serve as collegiate volunteers in a learning and developmental capacity, operating distinctly from employees and focusing on spiritual growth rather than hourly compensation or production metrics, though a nominal stipend for living expenses may be provided.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Adhere: Uphold the principles and beliefs outlined in FCA’s Christian Community Statement, ensuring alignment with the foundational values that are critical to the FCA mission and ministry.
• Cultivate: Maintain a consistent spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and diligent Bible study, to actively seek the Lord’s will and guidance for the direction and impact of FCA’s ministry efforts.
• Lead: Provide comprehensive spiritual leadership to a diverse group including staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes, fostering their growth through prayer, Bible study, worship, and personal example, thereby equipping them to effectively serve others within their spheres of influence.
• Engage: Connect to and actively participate in a local church, demonstrating commitment through regular worship and weekly involvement, thereby embedding personal ministry within a broader Christian community.
• Exemplify: Conduct yourself at all times in a manner that clearly affirms biblical standards of conduct, in full accordance with FCA’s deeply held Christian beliefs as detailed in the Christian Community Statement, serving as a consistent spiritual role model.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career: Collegiate student athlete, either currently enrolled or having recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required; open to collegiate volunteers seeking a developmental ministry experience during a summer or semester.
