Contract UX/UI Designer

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and driven UX/UI Designer to join our team on a contract or freelance basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional or recent graduate to contribute to exciting design projects, collaborating closely with an experienced Art Director. Compensation

Pay Rate: We offer a competitive hourly rate of $40 – $44/hr, commensurate with experience and expertise.

Location & Work Model

While this role offers flexibility, a strong preference is for candidates located in the Los Angeles area. The position requires a hybrid work model, with an expectation of being onsite approximately 1 day per week or a few days per month for collaborative sessions and project alignment.

Who We’re Looking For

We are searching for an individual who brings a fresh perspective and a solid foundation in design principles. Key qualifications include:

  • Design Portfolio: An early career professional or recent graduate with a strong and compelling design portfolio showcasing your UX/UI work, problem-solving abilities, and aesthetic sensibility.
  • Component Design Expertise: Proven experience in creating a wide range of component variations, ensuring seamless and consistent user experiences across different device types. This includes designing for:
    • Desktop: Optimized for larger screens and traditional interactions.
    • Mobile: Responsive and intuitive designs for smartphones.
    • Tablet: Adaptable layouts for intermediate screen sizes.
    • Accessibility Checked Versions: A strong understanding and application of accessibility best practices (e.g., WCAG standards) to ensure inclusive designs for all users.
  • AEM Familiarity (Strong Plus): While not mandatory, familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components and their design considerations will be a significant advantage.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Expected to work closely and effectively with an existing Art Director, taking direction, contributing ideas, and ensuring design consistency and quality.
