As an Online GED Math Tutor, you will make a significant impact on adult learners’ academic success and understanding, helping them achieve their GED Math goals from the comfort of your home.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students, or accept instant tutoring requests when available.
• Explain GED Mathematical Reasoning content clearly, covering basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data analysis, and quantitative problem-solving.
• Prepare adult learners to successfully achieve passing scores on the GED Math section.
• Teach strategic test-taking methods, including calculator usage, translating word problems, and interpreting graphs for the GED Math test.
• Adapt instructional approaches using diagnostic pretests, scaffolded skill progressions, and official GED practice materials to support adult learners.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of GED Mathematical Reasoning content standards, including basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, algebra, geometry, data analysis, and quantitative problem-solving.
• Experience: Proficiency in preparing adult learners to achieve passing scores on the GED Math section and adapting instruction to support those rebuilding foundational math skills.
• Skills: Ability to explain material using multiple approaches, proficiency in teaching strategic test-taking and systematic problem-solving, strong communication skills, and an engaging teaching style.
