What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and resilient backend services and APIs using modern programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Collaborate: Partner closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to define clear requirements, effectively scope projects, and deliver innovative features from concept to deployment.
• Architect: Contribute significantly to the architectural design and continuous evolution of our core data platform, ensuring its optimal performance, robust security, and long-term maintainability.
• Guide: Mentor and guide junior engineers, actively fostering a culture of technical excellence, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.
• Resolve: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, implement solutions to optimize application performance, and ensure overall system reliability and stability in a production environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, paired with a strong academic and practical understanding of backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a specific and proven focus on backend systems. This includes extensive experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures, as well as working with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C#) with related frameworks. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles. Extensive experience with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB). Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience deploying applications within them. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bonus: Experience with real-time data processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming). Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and experience with GraphQL. Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
