Customer Service Associate | Lowe’s

The Tone:
This is an in-person role at Lowe’s, a FORTUNE® 100 home improvement company with over 1,700 stores. As a Customer Service Associate, you’ll be the friendly face of Lowe’s, helping customers navigate their home improvement projects and find the right solutions. Your genuine care and top-notch service skills are crucial to making customers feel comfortable and supported during their shopping experience. • Mission: Solve customer home improvement challenges by providing expert guidance, finding the right products, and ensuring all their needs are met.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer their questions, and deliver friendly and professional service throughout their shopping experience.
• Product Guidance: Assist customers with locating, selecting, and handling merchandise, ensuring they find the right products and services for their home improvement needs.
• Inventory Management: Maintain department appearance by down stocking merchandise, replenishing supplies in empty shelf areas, and organizing products.
• Transaction Processing: Accurately process customer orders and deliveries, making sure merchandise is received as expected and on time.
• Product Customization: Prepare merchandise specific to customer requirements, which may include tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, cutting and bundling wood, or cutting blinds.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level customer service position, foundational for supporting customers with their home improvement projects across various store departments.
• Experience:
• 6 months experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Skills: Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction); ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other necessary activities; capability to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
• Bonus: 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience; bi-lingual communication skills; certification in a trade related to a specific department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).
