The TL;DR

• Pay: $18–$21 hourly
• Mission: Provide direct behavioral support to children with autism and developmental needs to foster growth and skill development.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Implement Strategies: Implement play, games, and evidence-based strategies to help children develop communication, social, and life skills.
• Provide Support: Deliver energetic and compassionate support during sessions held in children’s homes, CSD centers, or community locations.
• Execute Plans: Follow personalized treatment plans developed by clinical leaders, celebrating progress and supporting significant growth.
• Adapt to Environments: Thrive in a flexible, on-the-go role, adapting to varied daily schedules and environments.
• Document Progress: Complete required training and documentation to accurately track client progress and support intervention effectiveness.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A High School Diploma or GED is the minimum educational background required for this early career position. This role is designed for individuals seeking their first step into a meaningful career.
• Experience: No prior experience in behavioral health is needed, as CSD provides comprehensive paid training and ongoing support. However, candidates must demonstrate a willingness to complete all required training and documentation accurately. Reliable transportation is essential, along with flexible availability, especially during Monday–Friday afternoons/evenings, and specific Saturdays. Proof of mandated vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID – CA mandated) is also a prerequisite.
• Skills: Possess strong personal attributes including patience, dependability, and compassion. Exhibit clear communication abilities and a collaborative spirit for effective teamwork. Be comfortable working with diverse populations and thrive in structured, school-based environments where consistency is key.
