Finance Summer Intern (Onsite, Dallas Corporate Office)
The Finance Summer Intern will be an integral part of the Corporate Finance team, providing support across core accounting processes, financial analysis, and reconciliation projects. This internship offers hands-on exposure to corporate accounting operations and financial controls within a structured business environment. This is a project-based internship designed to be completed within a 12-week program, located at our Dallas Corporate office as an onsite opportunity. This is not a remote role.
The selected intern will have the exciting opportunity to present their project outcomes at our annual Intern Expo Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Program Details
- Program Dates: Monday, May 18, 2026 – Friday, August 7, 2026
- Length: 12 Weeks
- Schedule: Full-time, hourly
- Required: Must be available for the full program duration and attend/present at Intern Expo Day
Project Scope & Responsibilities
The Finance Summer Intern will support the following key initiatives:
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identify discrepancies and support the resolution of reconciling items.
- Ensure documentation adheres to internal financial control standards.
- Journal Entry Creation
- Assist in preparing and posting journal entries.
- Support month-end close activities.
- Ensure accuracy and proper account coding in alignment with GAAP principles.
- GRIR Analysis & Write-Off Support
- Perform detailed analysis of Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) accounts.
- Identify aging items and assist in researching discrepancies.
- Support write-off recommendations and documentation.
- Intercompany Reconciliation
- Assist with intercompany account reconciliations.
- Support the resolution of intercompany discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal business units to ensure accurate reporting.
Project Impact – A Successful Internship Will:
- Improve the accuracy and timeliness of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support efficient month-end close processes.
- Strengthen intercompany reconciliation controls.
- Deliver measurable financial process improvements for presentation at the Intern Expo.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
