Hospital Services Technician | WM/Stericycle

What You’ll Actually Do
• Waste Collection: Proactively monitor, collect, and exchange various waste containers, including those designated for Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substances, and Document Management programs, across multiple customer healthcare facilities.
• Customer Interaction: Engage professionally with onsite customer staff at each facility to ensure that all service expectations regarding waste management and collection are consistently met or exceeded.
• Schedule Adherence: Independently maintain and strictly adhere to a rigid collection and service schedule to ensure timely and efficient waste management operations at assigned facilities.
• Status Reporting: Accurately communicate duty status and operational updates according to a defined schedule, ensuring transparency and coordination within the team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of work experience is essential. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills and tact, providing superior customer service in diverse settings and situations. The ability to work independently with little supervision is also required. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between customer facilities.
• Skills: Proficiency with computer and handheld software applications, including spreadsheets and other application-based programs used for tracking daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
