Job Title: Entry-Level Proposal Writer/Analyst

Overview

GovCIO is seeking an entry-level Proposal Writer to join its dynamic team of growth professionals as a Proposal Writer/Analyst. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical government proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Creates compliant and compelling proposal content by thoroughly analyzing solicitation requirements and collaborating as part of a team.
  • Supports and leads the creation of past performance and resume sections with appropriate oversight and coaching.
  • Utilizes critical thinking skills to iteratively develop content, applying best practices such as storyboarding.
  • Delivers required artifacts according to established schedules.
  • Collaborates with other proposal team members to integrate win themes, discriminators, and strengths into assigned written sections.
  • Ensures accuracy of data and alignment of assigned section with the overall proposal strategy and messaging.
  • Will serve as a past performance or resume writer, covering multiple contracts or candidates.
  • This is specifically a junior-level position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience (or commensurate experience).
  • Experience responding to Government solicitations, including RFPs, RFQs, etc.
  • Ability to write compliant and compelling proposal sections in response to Government solicitations for a variety of federal departments and agencies (Federal/Civilian and DoD/IC).
  • Experience writing and tailoring content for non-technical proposal sections (e.g., past performance, resumes) for a wide variety of IT solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Some experience writing for government proposals valued at $25M and greater.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range reflects the expected range for this position at the commencement of employment; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position,” and GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $60,000.00 – USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
