The Tone:
This is a ministry internship with FCA, offered in various locations, with specific details available upon contact. FCA is dedicated to building spiritual leaders and influencing lives by guiding student athletes in discerning their calling and career, while immersing them in various aspects of Christian ministry. This internship provides a crucial learning and developmental experience for collegiate volunteers, enabling them to explore and understand their individual calling. All functions and responsibilities are considered vital to the FCA mission and are expected to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God.

• Mission: To foster an intern’s personal understanding of their individual calling to ministry through related training and practical experience, while introducing them to various aspects of FCA’s mission.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Spiritual Adherence: Actively agree with and consistently uphold the foundational principles articulated in FCA’s Christian Community Statement, ensuring personal alignment with the organization’s core beliefs.
• Personal Devotion: Diligently follow a structured spiritual rhythm, which includes engaging in daily prayer and comprehensive Bible study, specifically to seek and discern the Lord’s will for FCA.
• Ministry Leadership: Provide comprehensive spiritual leadership, including guidance and direction, to FCA staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes. This involves leading through prayer, Bible study sessions, worship experiences, and embodying a Christ-like example, thereby equipping others to serve effectively.
• Church Engagement: Establish and maintain active participation within a local church community, connecting through regular worship services and consistent weekly involvement.
• Biblical Conduct: Consistently conduct oneself in a manner that explicitly affirms biblical standards of conduct, fully in accordance with FCA’s established Christian beliefs as detailed in its Christian Community Statement, at all times and in all situations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a collegiate volunteer, demonstrating a clear commitment to discerning one’s calling in Christian ministry and actively participating in spiritual development experiences.
• Experience: The internship itself is designed as a foundational learning and developmental ministry experience, and thus no specific prior years of professional experience are required.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to provide spiritual leadership, a firm agreement with and consistent adherence to FCA’s Christian Community Statement and biblical standards of conduct, a disciplined practice of daily prayer and Bible study, and a commitment to active weekly participation in a local church.
• Bonus: No preferred or nice-to-have qualifications beyond the core ministerial duties are specified in the job description.
