Graduate Assistant | Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP)

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP), located within the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) framework. SHP is part of New Jersey’s academic health center, focused on integrated education, clinical care, and research across various health disciplines. This role is crucial for supporting the daily operations, grant administration, and data management of a grant-funded project within the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation & Counseling Professions, ensuring its success and compliance.

The TL;DR

• Team: Works under the supervision of the Program Director.
• Mission: To provide essential administrative, coordination, grant management, and data support to a grant-funded project, ensuring successful operations and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive organizational and administrative assistance for the day-to-day operations of a grant-funded project.
• Event Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and various events related to the grant, including trainings and outreach activities.
• Grant Management: Ensure project goals, reporting requirements, and deliverables are met in compliance with funding agency guidelines and institutional policies.
• Data Management: Collect, compile, and maintain accurate data for project evaluation, participant tracking, and outcome reporting.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact and liaison for students, faculty, partners, and community stakeholders involved with the program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as a graduate student within the Rutgers School of Health Professions or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting administrative functions, program coordination, and data collection tasks.
• Skills: Strong organizational abilities, proficient written communication for drafting various materials, accurate data entry, meticulous record-keeping, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Bonus: Prior experience specifically in administration, program coordination, or grant management.
