FCA Intern | FCA

The Tone:
This is an internship at FCA, with experiences varying by location. FCA designs these internships to develop student athletes in discerning their calling and career, while introducing them to various aspects of ministry. This role is crucial to the FCA mission, as it provides a learning and developmental ministry experience aimed at deepening an intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through related training and hands-on experience.

• Mission: To develop the intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through related training and experience.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Statement Adherence: Uphold and abide by FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Spiritual Discipline: Maintain a consistent spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and Bible study, to seek the Lord’s will for FCA.
• Leadership Provision: Offer spiritual leadership to staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and personal example, equipping them to serve others.
• Church Involvement: Actively connect with and participate in a local church through worship and weekly engagement.
• Conduct Maintenance: Conduct oneself at all times in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct, in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Collegiate volunteers engaging in a learning and developmental ministry experience.
• Experience: Desire to grow in understanding individual calling to ministry; no specific prior experience is required as this is a developmental role.
• Skills: Demonstrated commitment to spiritual leadership, daily prayer and Bible study, worship, and living by biblical example.
